The redesign of Shockwave.com was a massive project, the biggest I’ve been involved with, that saw the introduction of a great deal of new functionality.
Working with the creative director and project developer I produced grid system options, helped wire-frame and plan interface elements, established the CSS/XHTML structure, provided design support, and generally carried the torch for clear, simple user interactions.
Many design elements required the creation of javascript widgets and I chose the jQuery library for its strong DOM manipulation capabilities. These widgets included carousels, overlays, star rating systems, and other odds and ends.
